1.Terms of Service

Whatever publishes on the Service through your account, including your feedback and comment, is called your user content and from the time a content is shared in this service, it means from that time on, you have given the right to other users to share and use the contents with other users, therefore:

  • You are responsible for considering any rights related to third parties regarding your contents
  • You are strongly requested to ensure the correctness of information before sharing them with others

Apart from the above, accepting Coideate Terms of Service means you agree not to post insulting or illegal pornographic contents as well as promoting violence and dangerous products in the application.

1.1 Policy Towards Children

This Service is not intended for children under 18 and parents, whenever becomes aware, should contact us at info@coideate.app . If we become aware that a child under 18 has used the app, we will deactivate the account.

1.2 User Contents

Types of user contents or uses of the service, regardless of comments and feedbacks, are as follows:

Polling: Asking question providing multiple options to be chosen by audiences, either private in groups or countrywide and public.

Share Ideas (Ideating): Sharing ideas with their audiences as entrepreneurs, startups, enterprises and any entities or individuals which look for innovation and adding value for their customers.

Share Experiences (UX): Sharing extraordinarypositive experiences to be used and followed worldwide or extraordinary negative experiences in order to be avoided by individuals/businesses.

Request for Idea (RFI): Requesting from audiences to participate and make an idea about a specified topic, either by individuals or by businesses.

1.3 Disclaimer

Using coideate service means you, account owner, are using this service at your risk and you agree the terms and policy and any violations by you from these terms when noticed, you give us the right to remove the content which has violated the terms and repeating violations from the same account will lead to suspension of the account for seven days and if the violation continues, for the third time it will lead to suspension of the account for one month and for the fourth time the account will be deactivated forever with no indemnification from coideate. Coideate takes no responsibility and liability for your User Content and You are solely responsible for your content and its consequences.

Coideate, as a service, will not be liable for any kind of damages, loss of data, service interruption..whatsoever arising from your access or use of, or inability to access or use the service or correctness, validity or acceptance of other users contents (no responsibility against user contents) and coideate, under any conditions, will not be liable more than one hundred dollars.                                                 

Should a dispute arise, you agree to first contact us at info@coideate.app and attempt to resolve the dispute with us informally.

1.4 Notification

Coideate may send notifications through our website or in the app. Coideate may modify or update the Terms from time to time, specifying last modified date, so you should review it periodically. If you keep using of the Service after any changes, it means you have accepted the new Terms of Service.

If you disagree to these Terms or to any future Terms of Service, you are not allowed to use the Service.

 

2.Privacy Policy

2.1 Data Usage

Your personal data is not of interest to us and whatever is requested in this service is used only for better communication, usage of service between users and your contacts or security means. All data that will be gathered and how they are used in this app, are as follows:

2.2 Mandatory Data

These data,such as email address and preferred name to display, are required tocommunicate and make the application work on your device.

2.3 Optional Data

These data if entered by you in the Profile (such as bio, photo, gender, website…) could ease your identification or communication by others.

2.4 Log Data

Log data as browser type, pages you visited on our service, time spent…will be used to improve functionality, like tailoring the service to visitor’s needs and interests.

2.5 Cookies

Cookies, small data file sent on your device, are used to:

-Save your login data for future logins

-Better understand your interaction with the service (this possibility will be removed by logging off)

In case of not accepting cookies, you may not be able to use full functionality of the service.

3.User Guide

It is strongly recommended to read the following guide-in alphabetical order-to be more familiar with the application functions and features before using it. It is also recommended to use Coideate application instead of browsers to get better quality and better experience of it and standard functionality may not be expected in the desktop browsers as it is in the application or in mobile browsers.

Account: Using this tab, you manage your account information through provided sections.

Attachment: Attachments are available to add more description and additional information to your post if required.

Audience: Three types of audience could be selected in audience drop-down list to send your posts to them:

  • Public: by selecting Public, your post will be sent to all Coideate users.
  • Countrywide: by selecting countrywide, you post will be sent to Coideate users in selected country/countries.
  • Private: If you want to send your post to a group of Coideate users, select Private and then select the group or groups that you are a member of them. To use Private, first you need to be a member of a group and every group first need to be created using New Group in My Network Note that when Private option is selected and if you want the post to be shown on your (user) page, tick the check box of “Visible on User page for all”. Remember that private posts are not shown in the search results and are not shown to followers.

Benefits Offered: When creating an Ideate post, you need to fill this field to let others know what benefits/values are expected to achieve as the effects of implementing your idea. It is recommended to make it short, straightforward and evidence-based.

Category: To categorize topics, Category field is required to be entered when submitting a post to enable others to better manage their incoming posts. So, select the category which best matches to your subject and if you could not find one from the available ones, select Other.

Chat: Refer to New Group.

Comment: When commenting on a post, you will need to label your comment as pros or cons first and then type your comment to let the creator of the post have a better evaluation and categorization of the feedbacks received. To view comments, you can select the type of comments (pros or cons) from the drop-down list next to comment button.

Contact Us: In case of sending a message to Coideate, use this button in Profile to send an email from your email account.

Country: Country is taken when signing up and is a mandatory field but can be changed whenever later in Profile.

Deadline: When creating a RFI (Request for Idea) post, you need to set a deadline to let others know how long they have time to reply to your request. After deadline, post will not be closed automatically and it is up to the creator of the post how to manage it.

Edit/Delete: Through My Post in Account tab, posts could be edited or deleted by their creators. You may also edit/delete you comments wherever you have made it.

Email: Unchangeable email address entered when signing up along with username makes your account and you are logged in as long as you have not logged out from the account, however, in every login, you will need to enter the authentication code sent to your email. Note that, every email address can only have one Coideate account.

Filter: Settings provided in Filter on left top in yourHome page lets you manage what posts to be seen in your Home page in order to have a more arranged page. Always your homepage will be set based on your last settings in Filter and there you can reset check-boxes to default settings. Keep in mind that by default, everyone you follow, all kinds of his/her post will be seen in your homepage although his/her posts are not compatible with your filter settings, but if you are not happy with this and you want the filter settings include posts of whoever you follow, you may remove the check-box of “Exclude Following from the above filters”.

Following: Whoever you have followed or whoever has followed you, can be seen in this button in Account tab and through it, you can unfollow them or go to their user page (you can go to user page just by clocking on their names) to follow them.

Forum: Speech bubble available in any post is there to enable users to discuss about the subject and resolve ambiguities with the creator of the post and ask their questions about the subject and get their answers.

Gender: If you are not interested in selecting your gender in your Profile to be displayed to others in your Userpage, leave it blank (fourth option in the drop-down list) in the Profile/Account. You may select a preferred gender of audience when submitting a post (for example to get their idea about a poll). Also, you can filter intended gender for incoming posts to your homepage, through Filteron left top inyour Home page.

Group: Refer to New Group.

Home: Here is the feed to see the posts and scroll through. Up on the left, is Filter button and you can determine what to be shown on home tab. Up on the right, you can select to see Top Ideas, Top Ideators.

Ideate: Apart from the recognition of superior ideas and ideators in Coideate, it could be a good source and hub of ideas for entrepreneurs, businesses or even individuals which look for a solution for their problem or innovation and adding value. Ideas comes to your mind facing problems, needs or opportunities around, could be helpful for their seekers and “Ideate” post types is a place for it. So, post your ideas in “Ideate” pots and fill Benefits Offered field to be more noticed.

Intended Gender: Some posters may like to send their posts to a specific gender, for example to get only females’ idea about a topic in a Polling or RFI. In Filter, there is the possibility to select what kind of posts to be seen in terms of all gender specific posts, only males-intended, only females-intended or other.

Invite Friends: When you want to invite someone to join Coideate, you can use this button and send Coideate link to him/her.

List of criteria to be noticed: When creating a RFI (Request for Idea) post, it is optional to make a list of criteria that need to be considered by ideators in reply to this RFI along with considering the problem statement.

Location of event: When creating UX post and sharing your experience, it is optional to mention where that experience happened.

Login/Logout: To login, you will need to enter a registered email address in Coideate(registered when signing up) along with the authentication code sent to the email and you are logged in as long as you have not logged out from the account.Note that, every email address can only have one Coideate account.

Message: Refer to New Group.

Month/Year of event: When creating UX post and sharing your experience, it is optional to mention when that experience happened.

My Network: In My Network, you can manage your communities or groups in addition to inviting your friends to Coideate.

My Posts: Whatever posts you have created, you can find and may delete or edit them in My Posts.

Name: Name is taken when signing up and is a mandatory field but can be changed whenever later in Profile. Letters, space and dot are allowed to enter in the name field.

New Group/Group: Use this facility in My Network tab when you want to do:

  • Private (audience) posting: By creating a community/group, you can send Private (audience) posts to members of the community to get their feedback and idea about a specific subject.
  • Messaging:To chat with a user or enable chat between members of a community/group, you (as owner) can create a group and add desired user or users(that have installed Coideate app on their devices) to the groupand after accepting the requests by them, group will be activated.

Keep in mind that the groups which are created here and their chat rooms, are fixed for their community and members to chat, make posts and send to the group members and these chat rooms are different from the Forum (chat room accessible through speech bubble) dedicated and specific in any posts. Forum is only dedicated to the subject in a post and there, users will discuss only about that subject to remove any ambiguities about the post with questions and answers, but in a chat room of a group, different topics regarding the title of the group could be discussed between two or more users.

Polling: Getting thoughts and feedbacks of your intended audience and make better decisions now is as easy as can be through coideate polling posts. Asking opinions of what people think about your subjects is done providing minimum 2 options and maximum 5 options for your audience to select one of them.

Post: Through this tab, you are directed to select your post type that you are going to create and then fill the related data for it. Four types of posts are Ideate, RFI (Request for Idea, Polling and UX (User Experience)

Private audience: Refer to Audience.

Problem Statement: When creating a RFI (Request for Idea) post, you need to describe your problem in detail and let your audience know what is the exact problem to enable them to make a helpful idea for you.

Profile: In Profile, you manage what personal information to be entered and to be shown to others. Only your preferred display name, country (editable) and username are shown to others in your user page if other fields are left blank in the Profile. Whatever optional data are entered in the Profile, will be shown to visitors, so please just fill those that you prefer to be shown on your user page for better communication and identification.

Reward: When creating a RFI (Request for Idea) post, it is optional to consider a reward and a short description of it, for your selected idea from the all ideas you may receive after creating the post up to deadline. Claiming the reward is not done in the application and is something ethical and the creator of the post will be responsible for it and should be managed out of the app by them.

RFI: Gathering ideas to find an innovative way sometimes needs to be done in a project! In turn, by using Coideate, diversity of ideators is accessible to request for an idea for business purposes or daily activity problems by individuals. RFI (Request for Idea) posts are to find innovative ways for your problems through calling crowd to ideate how to solve it. You may set deadline for ideas to come or reward for your selected idea which best solves your problem and matches with your defined criteria. Ideators can leave an idea in the related RFI page clicking on “Add Idea” button, then you can shortlist the received ideas by pinning them or select your desired idea by clicking on select button.

Search: In this tab, you can search on usernames, names and subjects of the posts that are not private.

Service Notification: In case of issuing a notification from Coideate, it will be accessible inService Notification.

Service/Product Provider: When creating UX post and sharing your experience, it is optional to mention the name of the provider of the service or product you received in your experience.

Star: When you find a post interesting you can click on star button and make it as your favorite for later reference. Starred posts are accessible through Starred in Account tab.

Starred: Whatever posts you have starred (using star button on other’s posts) as your favorite posts, can be found in Starred button for later use.

Subject: Up to 90 characters is allowed to be entered as the subject of a post.

Top Ideas: Top Ideas-accessible through Show By on top of Home page-are top 10 Ideate and UX (user experience) posts that have had the most likes in the past 30 days which could be inspiring opportunity for entrepreneurs.

Top Ideators: Top Ideators-accessible through Show By on top of Home page-are top 10 users that their Ideate and UX (user experience) posts have had the most likes in that past 30 days and the number that is shown there, is the number of likes for sum of the above posts.

Type: When creating a UX post and sharing your experience, you need to select its type in terms of Delightful or Unpleasant. Determining your type of experience, along with the category of it, helps others that are interested in in that category, through Filter facility, find positive or negative reactions from people in order to avoid negative actions and learn from positive ones to promote their quality.

Unknown Error Messages: Encountering any annoying or repeatable messages that their reasons to appear is unknown and is not related to your disconnection or what is not resolved by clicking on Retry or Back button, please send us the screenshot along with the description in order to let us resolve it.

User page: The page that will be brought to you by clicking on the name or username of a user, is called user page and you can see user information entered in their Profile. Except username and editable name and country, all other user information is up to user preference to enter and to be shown to others. Moreover, except those posts that their audience are private and is not selected to be visible on user page, all other posts are shown in user page. You can follow or unfollow users in their user pages.

Username: Unchangeable username that has been chosen when signing up to Coideate applicationalong with your email address makes your account and letters and numbers are allowed to enter for username.

UX: It has happened for most of us that we have encountered with an extraordinary experience in a corner of the world that we would like to share it not only with its provider but also with the world to help it to be spread or to be avoided. So, share your extraordinary experiences (and not daily stories) in terms of Delightful or Unpleasant Types experienced when receiving them from a product/service provider in order to help to promote quality level in the world by letting providers know about customer experiences and tastes. Service Provider, location and Month/Year of eventfields are optional to be filled in this type of post.
